December is upon us and Autumn’s end rapidly approaches. It was mere few weeks ago that the mountains that cradle the east branch of the upper Delaware River were ablaze with fiery orange hues of the autumnal deciduous flora. Henceforth, until the rains of spring swell this river’s banks, they shall faithfully display their seasonal grayscale uniforms. But here at the river’s edge, one courageous holdout stands alone in defiance of the decaying daylight and wayward weather, unashamed to fly its chlorophyll charged flags.
