
Here in the quaint town of Fishs Eddy, the east branch of the Delaware River is but a few short miles from its rendezvous with the west branch. Recently revived from Summer’s drought by Autumn’s rain, it proceeds peacefully along its course. Calm and quiet it will remain just as Winter’s snow pacifies and deafens the mountains that encompass it. Then, as Spring’s thaw advances across its watershed, the east branch will roar once again before ultimately backing down to Summer’s oppressive sun and thus, the cycle concludes and commences …
